Why we point you here
One of the youngest chefs ever to earn a Michelin star, Chef Jordi Cruz now runs three of them in a garden-wrapped Barcelona hideaway — and the tasting menu starts in the kitchen.
Chef Jordi Cruz was barely into his twenties when he became one of the youngest cooks anywhere to land a Michelin star, and at ABaC he clearly never got the memo to slow down. Set in an elegant little hotel with a private garden up on Avinguda Tibidabo, it runs a single, restlessly evolving tasting menu that keeps reinventing Catalan and Mediterranean flavors. You begin among the cooks with a round of appetizers before being walked to the dining room, where the parade has included Aqua Mirabilis — a dessert that doffs its cap to the world’s oldest perfume house. Three Michelin stars since 2017, and still one of Spain’s most thrilling tables.
