Artesian

Some bars you feel before you order, and Artesian is one of them: high ceilings, big bay windows, tiered brass chandeliers, deep purple seats, art deco done with a wink instead of a straight face. It lives inside the Langham on Regent Street, and for four straight years the World's 50 Best Bars named it the World's Best Bar, which almost nobody manages. The team behind that streak has moved on since, and the bar leaned into playful, sustainability-minded menus that sneak oddballs like chicory, daikon and marshmallow into drinks that still taste familiar. Come for a cocktail and let the room do the entertaining. It's very good at it.
